# West Ham set to consult players before sacking Pellegrini

It only seems like a matter of time before Manuel Pellegrini leaves West Ham United and the decision may come down to an interesting ultimatum.

Several reports suggest the Hammers will sack Pellegrini if he sees his side suffer defeat against Southampton on Saturday.

However, the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7778075/Should-sack-boss-West-Ham-consult-players-future-fire-manager-Manuel-Pellegrini.html) reports that the board will consult with the squad over the final decision which is particularly interesting considering most of the players seem uninspired and out of ideas under Pellegrini this season.

If West Ham suffer defeat at St. Mary’s on Saturday evening, you’d imagine the inevitable will happen with or without the players’ thoughts.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

I think if the playing staff were to be asked what they thought of a new manager coming in for the rest of the season, not many would object.

The squad of West Ham’s quality shouldn’t be near where they currently are and Pellegrini just seems like he’s run out of passion and desire at the London Stadium.

It’d be very interesting to see what another manager could do with this team and it’d be wise to replace him before the January transfer window.

The Hammers need new personnel and there’s no point giving that responsibility to either Mario Husillos or Pellegrini if neither are going to last much longer.
