West Ham ready to sell Albian Ajeti in January
Albian Ajeti has not enjoyed the best of times at West Ham United and his misery may be cut short sooner than expected.
Since his £8million move from Basel in the summer, the 22-year-old has made just five Premier League appearances with no goal contributions to show for it.
According to Claret & Hugh, West Ham are ready to sell Ajeti in the January transfer window and search for a new second striker.
The report claims he was on his way to Championship club Brentford for £5million before Mario Husillos and Manuel Pellegrini swooped for his signature.
READ WEST HAM VERDICT
As far as Deadline Day flops go, Ajeti has to be up there as one of West Ham’s biggest.
He’s been nothing short of abysmal and it’s clear the Premier League is too high a standard for the Switzerland international.
It’s likely West Ham will make a loss if they manage to offload him next month, especially if they want to invest in a better option.
Sebastien Haller is in dire need of not just quality competition, but just a bit of help and support upfront and it’s pivotal the club provides him with it as soon as possible.
