# Gillingham FA Cup clash to be screened on TV

West Ham’s FA Cup clash with Gillingham has been chosen for live broadcast.

The game will air on BT Sport on Sunday January 5th, and will kick off at 6:16pm.

The Hammers have been drawn away for the clash, and will be hoping to get their FA Cup campaign started in the best possible fashion.

West Ham have met Gillingham ten times in their history, with the first meeting coming all the way back in 1912.

West Ham’s last clash with the Kent side came in 2005, with Marlon Harewood scoring in a 1-0 win for the Hammers.

### Read West Ham’s verdict

It will be a tough task for the Hammers, especially now the game will have a national audience.

The cup may not be a priority for West Ham this season, but no fan would say no to a good cup run that ends in a Wembley game.

It would certainly be a fitting way to commemorate the famous FA Cup win of 1980.
