# Savage tips West Ham to beat Mourinho’s Spurs

Former Premier League midfielder Robbie Savage has tipped West Ham United to beat Tottenham Hotspur later today.

The north London club appointed Jose Mourinho as their manager earlier this week and that has got plenty of fans and pundits excited.

However, Savage feels that Mourinho will have a nightmare start to life as Spurs manager. He’s predicted a 2-1 victory for the Hammers. As quoted on the [Daily Star](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/robbie-savage-makes-west-ham-20940119), he said:

> Without jumping on the bandwagon, I just don’t see \[Jose\] Mourinho as the right fit for Tottenham.

> At Tottenham, he is allegedly going to be on £88,000-a-week more than any of the players. If that is the case, Harry Kane should be going straight in to see the chairman on Monday morning to ask for a pay rise.

> “If his appointment has the look of short-termism – win football matches now, worry about the style later – Mourinho’s best hope is to make an immediate impact.

The footballing world is intrigued to see how Mourinho does in this match against the struggling Hammers.

Hopefully, Savage’s prediction comes true! This is a great opportunity for West Ham to show that they are not relegation contenders this season.
