# Hammers fans desperate for Antonio return against Spurs

A recent West Ham United tweet has given many supporters hope of a surprise return against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.

The two rivals meet at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon in what could be a decisive game for Manuel Pellegrini.

Mauricio Pochettino was sacked by Spurs last night and the Chilean could suffer a similar fate if West Ham can’t leave their current rut of form.

A #MondayMotivation tweet was sent out with a picture of Michail Antonio yesterday, which has left plenty of fans calling for his return to action…

> Twitter: @WestHam Miss him so much hurry back @Michailantonio xx ⚒ (@Alieson)

Some believe he could be in contention to make an impact against Spurs…

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

The return of Antonio would certainly inject much-needed energy into the squad ahead of a vital period.

His versatility makes him an important asset as it is, but he holds undeniable qualities that, without a doubt, make Pellegrini’s options stronger.

Antonio scored the only goal as the Hammers dealt Spurs’ first-ever defeat at their new stadium last season and he’ll be hoping to deal damage once again.
