West Ham have been linked with a new year move for Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic, however, the rumours haven’t gone down well with a section of supporters.

The Hammers have been tipped to rival Manchester United and Tottenham in the race to land the 33-year-old, who looks destined to leave the Serie A champions over the coming months.

Mandzukic, who scored the winner against England in the World Cup semi-final last year, hasn’t featured in a competitive fixture under Maurizio Sarri so far this season.

Mandzukic is thought to be available for around €15m and would bring plenty of experience to Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

However, with the forward approaching the twilight years of his career, the Hammers could be better off pursuing a younger forward.

Mandzukic hasn’t plied his trade in the Premier League during his 15-year career, so he could struggle to adapt to the pace of the division.

It remains to be seen as to whether or not the club will rival United and Spurs for his services, but what does look certain is the Hammers will be looking to add another goalscorer to their ranks.

Would you like to see Mandzukic at the London Stadium?

Yes, he'd be a solid signing!

No, he's past it!
