Olivier Giroud is heavily out of favour at Chelsea under Frank Lampard this season.
The Frenchman is desperate for more first-team action and earlier this week, multiple news outlets revealed that the Hammers were considering a move for him in January.

READ WEST HAM VERDICT
Giroud will definitely be able to provide goals but it seems West Ham fans are crying out for someone upfront that has the pace to trouble opposition defences.
Giroud isn’t the type of striker to make daring runs in-behind however, he does possess a brilliant footballing brain and is almost always in the right position at the right time.
A move for him doesn’t seem popular at all amongst the fan base and that is pretty surprising considering his goalscoring ability.
