Combined Starting XI: Newcastle United

This week’s segment of the combined XI sees the inclusion of Newcastle United.

Two big clubs that have had demises in recent times, West Ham and Newcastle both share big followings.

Both clubs are in desperate need of a positive result, with Newcastle without a win in three and sitting in 17th, whereas West Ham have not won in four and have teams around them catching up on points.

With both clubs having ambitious (and rightly so) expectations of where the club should currently be in the league, a result on Saturday makes this more than a standard 3 o’clock kick-off.

Pellegrini especially really needs not only three points, but a good shift in from his side altogether.
