Plenty of West Ham United fans were shocked by the wonder-goal former Hammers and Arsenal star Lucas Perez pulled out of his locker against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night.
The 31-year-old cut inside from the right and unleashed a glorious curling strike into the far top corner late on to earn Deportivo Alaves a 1-1 draw against the La Liga giants.
Many supporters have taken to social media to react to the goal and there seems to be a hint of regret in the air…

READ WEST HAM’S VERDICT
Perez simply didn’t become what many expected in England and he’s looking much more at home in Spain.
With the Hammers’ current striker options looking thin though, could Manuel Pellegrini have done with keeping him? I don’t think so.
It seems like too many supporters have already given up on Albian Ajeti, who is yet to make his mark at the London Stadium.
The Swiss international is still young and will hopefully be given time to adapt to his new surroundings and ultimately provide Sebastien Haller with the competition he needs.
