Liverpool no longer interested in signing Lanzini

When you think about West Ham United’s best players, Manuel Lanzini will certainly be around the conversation and that comes with interest from bigger clubs.

Over the last few transfer windows, the Argentine has been regularly linked with a move to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, but those links could soon be set to disappear after recent reports.

According to Football.London, Liverpool are no longer interested in signing Lanzini after he signed a new £100,000-a-week contract until 2023 at the London Stadium.

The 26-year-old hasn’t hit top form since putting pen to paper on that new deal, which could have been a deciding factor in the Reds’ decision to snub him.

For West Ham fans, this should come as great news because although he hasn’t had a great season so far, an in-form Lanzini takes Manuel Pellegrini’s side to the next level.

He was regularly linked with a move to Anfield for no reason, he’s a special talent and hopefully, he can start showing his true colours sooner rather than later in East London.

Facing Sheffield United at home on Saturday presents a tough game against a good defensive outfit, but a great opportunity to steer the Hammers to a much-needed victory.
