Pablo Fornals hasn’t exactly set the world alight following his £25million move from Villareal in the summer, and he came under further criticism from many West Ham United fans following Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Everton.
The 23-year-old Spaniard was a surprise starter ahead of the in-form Andriy Yarmolenko but was hooked on the hour mark following another ineffective performance as he still waits for his first Premier League goal contribution.
Some West Ham supporters are now growing impatient with Fornals, with some even questioning whether he’ll ever be worth his price tag at the London Stadium…

READ WEST HAM’S VERDICT
The Spain Under-21 international was always going to need time to adjust to English football, so it’d be very unfair to rule out his chances of succeeding at West Ham so early on.
He’s got plenty of quality to offer – that’s why Manuel Pellegrini sanctioned his arrival – and I think he’ll showcase it eventually, fans just need to be patient with him.
In all honesty, Pellegrini’s decision to start him over Andriy Yarmolenko on the right should be coming into question more than Fornals’ performance.
The Chilean manager must revert to his first-choice front five against Sheffield United to give West Ham the best chance of beating Sheffield United to get their push for European qualification back underway.
