West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini has urged his side to improve defensively ahead of their clash with Everton.
The Hammers have made a good start to the campaign and currently sit in eighth place with 12 points.
If certain results go in their favour, Pellegrini’s men could find themselves ending the weekend in the top four, but he knows they need to be stronger at the back. As quoted on Football London, he said:
We must be clear what we need to improve. Not to concede so many goals. In the last two league games, we have conceded two goals in each game.
If you review both games, Lukasz and Roberto haven’t had many saves to make in each of them.
Could this improvement be key in helping his side finish in the top eight?

Definitely. The Hammers need to tighten up at the back, especially against the teams lower in the table.
The London club have a run of favourable fixtures coming up and this is the perfect opportunity for the team to gain confidence defensively.
The loss against Palace came as a bit of a shock and the players will be motivated to bounce back with a win at Goodison Park.
