Masses of West Ham United fans have taken to social media to share this displeasure with Aaron Cresswell receiving a contract extension until 2023.
The 29-year-old left-back has been in good form for the past few games and scored a couple of important goals, but many don’t seem to believe that warrants a new deal.
Plenty of supporters on Twitter reacted to the news, with some suggesting the decision means the club isn’t moving forward…

Cresswell has been an important player over the last month, particularly against Manchester United and AFC Bournemouth, but does it really warrant a new contract?
He’s been a great servant to the club – the third-longest in the current squad – but many would’ve hoped left-back was a position Manuel Pellegrini would soon look to strengthen.
You can’t imagine he’ll want Creswell, Arthur Masuaku and a new man as his options, so it seems we’re stuck with what’s on offer for the foreseeable future.
