# Haller makes confession after Palace defeat – how many will he score this season?

Sebastien Haller has admitted his and West Ham United’s failure to be clinical against Crystal Palace cost them the game on Saturday night.

The Frenchman should’ve netted in the first half but opened the scoring on the hour mark before Palace fired back twice to run out 2-1 winners.

Recently speaking to the [West Ham website](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2019/october/07-october/sebastien-haller-we-have-improve), Haller explained his thoughts after the ‘frustrating’ loss at the London Stadium:

> I think we could have won this game, too. But it’s the Premier League and everything is about small details but maybe we, or I, should have scored earlier. But that’s football. We missed some chances, me first, and I should have been more efficient but that’s football, unfortunately, we conceded some goals and it’s very frustrating, especially at home.

### Read West Ham’s verdict

Haller guarantees goals and he’ll prove crucial to the Hammers’ European football prospects this term, without a doubt.

He already has four Premier League goals to his name in seven outings, so what number can he ultimately reach in his debut season in England?

If West Ham carry on performing well as a team, there’s no reason why he can’t surpass 15 league goals and be up there with the league’s top goalscorers.

Manuel Pellegrini is currently thin on striker options though, so it’ll be down to him to be the main provider of goals and he’s stepped up to the plate so far.
