Jarvis heaps praise on Yarmolenko – His comments are justified

Former West Ham United winger Matt Jarvis has praised the recent performances of Andriy Yarmolenko.

The winger has started the season in fine fashion, scoring recent superb goals against Manchester United and Bournemouth in the Premier League.

He suffered an injury-hit first season at the London club last season, but he appears to be back to his best this term.

When speaking to Sky Sports, Jarvis said:

Yeah as we said the style of play, the creativity they’ve got, the players they’ve got, I mean Yarmolenko is huge for them.

He missed most of the season last year so he is firing on all cylinders, he has got that desire to get back as after a big injury you have that desire to get back and prove everyone what you can do.

And he is certainly turning it on now.

Is the praise justified?

Definitely. Yarmolenko has been a standout performer for Manuel Pellegrini’s side so far this season and is probably their most dangerous attacker at the moment.

His ability to cut in from the right-wing and whip the ball towards goal with his left foot is frightening for almost any defence in the league.

If he can stay fit and firing for the remainder of this season, then he could be the one to inspire the Hammers to finish in the top seven this campaign.
