West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini has warned his players about the threat that Crystal Palace duo Wilfried Zaha and Jordan Ayew carry, as reported on Goal.
Both sides have made good starts to the season and it is expected to be a good encounter.
Ayew has netted twice this season whilst Zaha is his usual dangerous self, causing havoc with his dribbling and pace in recent weeks. Andros Townsend has also stepped up his performances recently.
Pellegrini said:
It is not only Wilfried Zaha. They have very good players up front, Jordan Ayew is having a good season and they have Andros Townsend and a lot of good players who can make a difference.
Was it a smart move by Pellegrini to name Palace’s danger men?
READ WEST HAM VERDICT
Absolutely. The fact that he’s publicly stated who he’s worried about from the Palace team shows that he’s keen to stop them three.
They’re a very dynamic front three so the Hammers defence will need to remain switched on throughout the game.
Zaha is the main danger, if Pellegrini’s men can stop him then they’re likely to stop the rest.
