# Allardyce full of praise for “incredible” Noble – He deserves it

Former West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has heaped plenty of praise on Mark Noble, as reported on [Talksport](https://talksport.com/football/609629/mark-noble-west-ham-premier-league-alan-curbishley-sam-allardyce/).

The Hammers captain has been impressive so far this season and Allardyce has spoken about his importance to the club.

He said:

> Everything rubs off on Mark Noble. He’s obviously a talented footballer. He might look like he’s 5ft 8in, but he stands at 6ft 4in every time he puts on that West Ham shirt because he’s proud to play for that football club.

> He’s obviously not the quickest. His knowledge of the game is incredible, though, so whatever he loses in terms of speed he makes up with his brain which moves him into positions other players wouldn’t have thought of getting into.

Does Noble deserve the praise?

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Absolutely. He’s probably the first name on Manuel Pellegrini’s teamsheet.

The skipper gives everything for the team when he’s on the pitch and is also valuable for the development of younger players coming through, such as Declan Rice.

The 32-year-old has been one of the Premier League’s most consistent performers in recent years and also chips in with his fair share of goals, normally from the penalty spot.
