With Lukasz Fabianski already missing this weekend’s game against Crystal Palace, Jack Wilshere is now also a doubt as the injuries begin to rack up for West Ham United.
The Hammers host Palace at the London Stadium on Saturday evening as they look to build on their fifth-place position to kick off October.
According to Football Insider, Wilshere is in a race against time to pass a fitness test ahead of the London derby though.
The 27-year-old has reportedly sustained an ankle problem, but the club is said to be hopeful of his progress ahead of matchday.

Read West Ham’s verdict
After such a promising start to the 2019-20 Premier League campaign, the last thing West Ham need is for the injury list to pile up.
In all honesty, Wilshere probably wasn’t going to start against the Eagles anyway but would’ve almost certainly been in the squad.
So, who should come in for him?
The most likely option is Carlos Sanchez, who didn’t feature in the travelling party at AFC Bournemouth last weekend after a forgettable display against Oxford United a few days prior.
Manuel Pellegrini will want a more defensive-minded midfielder on the bench as an option, and Sanchez would appear to be the only one in contention.
