Manuel Pellegrini was handed £100million to spend in his first transfer window as West Ham United manager in 2018 but only received £25million net to spend this summer.
Pablo Fornals and Sebastien Haller were the Hammers’ headline arrivals during the close season but 11 players departed the club and injury woes are already starting to arise.
According to reports, West Ham aren’t planning on undergoing any transfer activity in the January window, ingoings or outgoings.
The Hammers sit in fifth after seven games, losing just once this season in the opening match against champions Manchester City.

Lukasz Fabianski is already missing around two months of action through a hip injury, so West Ham could be one or two more injuries away from having a real problem.
Pellegrini’s squad size is good but last week’s performance against Oxford United in the Carabao Cup suggests the depth isn’t strong enough.
It’s understandable that he’s happy with the players currently at his disposal so large amounts of activity in January weren’t expected anyway.
However, if there are more first-team departures it’ll definitely be something worth looking into.
Until then though, the Hammers need to pray for no more setbacks.
