It looks like summer signing Roberto is set for an extended run in the West Ham United first team following the hip injury suffered by Lukasz Fabianski against AFC Bournemouth at the weekend.
Fabianski is likely to miss as many as two months of action, which has opened the chance for Roberto to deputise.
However, Manuel Pellegrini has ‘major’ concerns over the Spaniard’s kicking and flexibility after last week’s 4-0 thumping at Oxford United, according to Football Insider.
Roberto has only played two games for West Ham this term, both in the short-lived Carabao Cup campaign, and is yet to win anyone over.
So, what is the logical solution?

20-year-old shot-stopper Nathan Trott has been ever-present on loan at AFC Wimbledon in League One so far this term, and now many fans want him to be recalled.
Another summer signing, David Martin, is also available, but Football Insider also claim that Manuel Pellegrini still recognises Roberto as higher in the pecking order.
Realistically, it’s unlikely Trott will be recalled unless there’s another injury to a goalkeeper and Roberto is the prime candidate to take his place in between the sticks.
It’ll certainly be a make or break period for him amongst the West Ham supporters, that’s for sure.
