# West Ham fear Fabianski faces a month out – why fans should be worried

Lukasz Fabianski’s unfortunate injury was the outstanding negative in Saturday’s 2-2 draw against AFC Bournemouth and new updates don’t sound promising.

According to [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-west-ham-fear-big-name-misses-palace-clash-faces-month-out/), West Ham United expect the Poland international to miss this weekend’s clash with Crystal Palace and fear he’ll spend up to a month on the sidelines.

The report claims West Ham will receive the reports of a scan today after Fabianski was forced off in the first half with what Manuel Pellegrini later revealed to be a hip injury.

If the 34-year-old is to be out of action for around a month, he’ll be absent for Premier League games against Everton, Sheffield United and Newcastle United as well as Palace and the upcoming international break.

### Read West Ham’s verdict

Last season’s Hammer of the Year recipient is going to be a monumental absentee if he is to be sidelined because of just how important he’s been in recent times.

His back-up, Roberto, didn’t fill many with much confidence in last week’s 4-0 thumping at Oxford United and it’s certainly quite a substantial downgrade.

Fabianski is now north of 30 and these things are bound to happen, but West Ham enjoying such a good Premier League run at the moment though, and Roberto will have to massively step up his game.
