# Hammers fans unhappy with Fornals’ latest underwhelming performance

Pablo Fornals joined West Ham United in the summer with all the promise in the world on the back of playing a major part in Spain’s U21 European Championships success.

His £25million move from Villareal carried plenty of hype, but he’s not yet lived up to the billing and a string of lacklustre performances have caused some fans to question his ability.

During West Ham’s 2-2 draw at AFC Bournemouth on Saturday, Fornals didn’t exactly set the world alight and these supporters made it known…

> Twitter: Proud of my team just hope fabianski is back ASAP, Fornals needs to step up though (@MajesticMasuaku)

> Twitter: @DOWHU\_1995 Haller was good the big disappointment was again Fornals too slow, too weak and doesn’t get close enough to Haller (@ChrisBetts82)

Garbage…

> Twitter: @Sam\_InkersoleTM Fornals is garbage (@Ryan\_G89)

A ghost?

> Twitter: Get Manu on. Fornals a ghost (@happyhammer888)

Worrying!

> Twitter: Yet to see a good performance from Fornals.. (@JoshuaClaydon)

### Read West Ham’s verdict

The potential is clearly there in Fornals, he looked like an unbelievable prospect during the summer and you’d hope he’s just taking some time to adapt to English football.

He could prove invaluable to Manuel Pellegrini in the near future once he clicks, so supporters must stay patient with him and I’m confident the performances will come.

Fornals was poor again at the weekend though, and with Manuel Lanzini returning early it’s unlikely he’ll retain his place next time out.
