# Fans tease West Ham following humiliating Oxford defeat

Many Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur fans were having a field day on social media last night, after West Ham United fell to a 4-0 defeat at League One Oxford United.

Spurs may have suffered a similarly humiliating fate the night before, whilst Man United needed penalties to beat Rochdale at Old Trafford, but both sets of fans jumped on the chance to hand out some payback.

Plenty of supporters aimed their jokes at the West Ham Twitter page after the club’s forgettable Carabao Cup exit…

> Twitter: @WestHam What u get for roasting us west ham ![?](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/12.0.0-1/svg/1f62d.svg)![?](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/12.0.0-1/svg/1f606.svg)![?](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/12.0.0-1/svg/1f606.svg)haha (@SONNY\_SZN)

Others were keen to point out \*that\* tweet West Ham posted after defeating Man United at the weekend…

If you can give it, you have to take it…

Many people at West Ham were still basking in the glory of defeating Man United when they jumped onto social media to tease Spurs over their cup exit.

The Oxford performance was a clear reality check that some players in Manuel Pellegrini’s squad aren’t good enough to help the club challenge on all fronts.
