West Ham fans react as Hammers dumped out of Carabao Cup by Oxford United

West Ham United have been dumped out of the Carabao Cup by Oxford United, with Karl Robinson’s side winning 4-0 at the Kassam Stadium.

The Hammers looked poor for seemingly the entire game, with Oxford easing past a much-changed West Ham team.

The result didn’t go down well with many West Ham fans, with the many furious that the Hammers team were unable to beat the League One side.

Twitter: Can beat Man United but not Oxford United ?‍♂️ Why don’t we take cup games more seriously? ⚽️??? #OXFWHU #COYI https://t.co/ObTD9TjsPM (@e_botcherby)

Twitter: Regardless of what team we put out, losing 4-0 to a team in League One is a disgrace #COYI #WHU (@COYIrons_com)

However, some were more positive, believing West Ham can concentrate on their league games now.

Twitter: Better like that. Now we can concentrate in finishing 9th in @premierleague. #COYI https://t.co/5AhXRNisMM (@hammers_br)

Twitter: Lets hope this is to focus on a big push for top 6 this year then, not the result I was expecting after the start to the season #COYI (@dazyoungs)

This is an embarrassing night for West Ham.

Yes, it was a second-string side, but surely they give it more of a go, because this result is simply awful.

It doesn’t even look good on the player’s who started, who almost certainly want to push for a starting spot.

Based off tonight, none of them are anywhere close to it.
