Mark Noble improved on an already-impressive statistic on Sunday as he captained West Ham United to a second successive home victory against Manchester United.
Goals from Andriy Yarmolenko and Aaron Cresswell on either side of half-time steered West Ham to a comfortable victory against the toothless visitors and an eye-catching statistic has arisen following full-time.
Under Manuel Pellegrini, the Hammers have won 47% (15/32) of their games when Noble has started, in comparison to the 18% (2/11) when he hasn’t.
As you’d expect, many fans have recognised the stat and used it to further push their approval of Noble’s impact on this team…

Read West Ham’s verdict
One thing is for certain, Noble is going to leave a huge hole behind once he decides to hang up his boots and aged 32, that time could be just around the corner.
His Man of the Match performance against United would suggest otherwise though, and many will hope he has a few more years in the tank.
There’s no questioning whether the Hammers are better off with him in the team, with his presence on and off the pitch crucial to the club’s recent successes.
A club legend.
