Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed Aaron Cresswell will be the man to replace Arthur Masuaku at left-back against Manchester United on Sunday.
Masuaku is suspended after receiving two yellow cards in Monday’s 0-0 draw at Aston Villa and fans have since been debating whether Cresswell, Pablo Zabaleta or Ben Johnson should fill in.
The experienced Englishman hasn’t been popular on the terraces this season, which made the reaction to Pellegrini’s announcement all the more surprising…

Cresswell is rightly second-choice but the faith Pellegrini has shown in him against one of the world’s biggest clubs will only give him confidence.
He’s probably still being haunted by the memories of Manchester City’s visit on the opening weekend, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side should pose much less of a threat.
Another poor performance could really put the nail on the coffin in terms of his reputation as a Premier League defender amongst Hammers fans, but it’s good to see plenty of people have faith in him.
