The winners and losers of West Ham’s international break

The first (unwelcome) international break now come and gone which means we can switch our focus to West Ham United’s Premier League campaign this weekend.

West Ham picked up seven points from their opening four league games and are currently on a three-match winning streak in all competitions following a calamitous start against Manchester City.

Manuel Pellegrini has seen pretty much the entirety of his squad return unscathed, which will come as a major boost ahead of Monday night’s testing trip to Villa Park where Aston Villa await.

Seven first-team stars have been representing their nations over the last week, which some having greater fortunes on the road than others.

There were eye-catching performances, headline-stealing moments and interesting landmarks reached by the Hammers, with ultimately varying fortunes.

Take a look below as I go through three winners and losers from the September international break, before we say goodbye to the European Qualifiers and hello to domestic football.
