# Hourihane a popular selection as Villa fans pick their team against West Ham

Aston Villa fans have been selected their preferred teams when West Ham United visit Villa Park next weekend, and a common theme is the inclusion of Conor Hourihane.

Villa were narrowly beaten 1-0 against Crystal Palace last time out, but Hourihane caught the eye after coming on with 20 minutes to go and now plenty of supporters are desperate for him to start.

Many took to social media to provide their starting line-ups, so it’s clear to pinpoint the Republic of Ireland international as a clear dangerman…

> Twitter: @Total\_Villa I think Jack needs to play the wide left of a 3. Hourihane needs to be in this team with Nakamba & El… https://t.co/PWtzEp7q5Z (@JedinaksBeard)

> Twitter: @Total\_Villa I’d prefer this. Our set pieces are awful without hourihane in the side. Imo https://t.co/ZgO2Gv868b (@davegsmith34)

> Twitter: @Total\_Villa Wouldnt change apart from el ghazi but marvelous and lansbury could come on more along with Hourihane… https://t.co/KG41z1oHUb (@OllyRhodes4)

> Twitter: @Total\_Villa But getting Hourihane into the side is a must. So under rated. (@delaneyr23)

### read west ham’s verdict

Hourihane will definitely be a danger from midfield and provides strong competition for the likes of Declan Rice lining up for the Hammers.

West Ham will be confident of going to Villa Park and getting a result after their current run of form, but the hosts won’t be easy to topple.

Dean Smith may not even start Hourihane but judging by fan reaction, he’s certainly one to watch if he does enter the field of play.
