It’s pretty clear Manuel Pellegrini is happy with his West Ham United squad and has actually turned down several approaches to sign free agents over the summer.
According to Football Insider, Pellegrini has been offered a number of free agents but doesn’t believe they are up to the standard required to help take West Ham to the next level.
The Chilean manager submitted his 23-man Premier League squad list on Tuesday, which obviously excluded the likes of Javier Hernandez, Marko Arnautovic and Pedro Obiang.
West Ham have recruited well of late though and seem to be in a position where Pellegrini is content with the options available to him for the remainder of the season.
Plenty of fans have taken to social media to hail him for his critical decision-making, even if letting go of Hernandez without signing a replacement is a big risk…

READ WEST HAM’S VERDICT
You’ve got to laud Pellegrini’s confidence in his squad; he’s an experienced manager and it shows with how he’s managing things.
Too many managers would jump on the opportunity to sign free agents simply because they’re available, but the Hammers boss has a set squad now and he’s opted to stick with his cards.
Hopefully, the decision doesn’t end up biting him in the back if injuries are cruel, but the exciting squad at his disposal will be aiming to continue impressing nonetheless.
