# Hammers fans react as Masuaku explains Anderson talks before Norwich win

Arthur Masuaku has explained how working with Felipe Anderson ahead of Saturday’s win against Norwich City helped him impress so much for West Ham United.

Masuaku put in a Man of the Match performance from left-back, providing the assist for Haller’s opener as well as showing plenty of defensive solidity throughout the game.

Following the third-straight victory, he went through, as cited by [West Ham Central](https://twitter.com/WestHam_Central/status/1168879248645545984?s=20), what he had been talking about with the Brazilian winger ahead of their eye-catching partnership at the London Stadium:

> We spoke a lot in training in the week leading up to the game \[vs Norwich\] to try to make things better and help him understand more how I want him to defend and help me and how we can attack well together.

The general consensus amongst plenty of West Ham fans is that whatever he and Anderson worked on… well, worked!

### read west ham’s verdict

Masuaku proved exactly why so many West Ham fans see him as their undisputed first-choice left-back on Saturday, he was fantastic.

The DR Congo international looked as confident as ever at the back and going forward, which adds an extra threat to Manuel Pellegrini’s dangerous attack.

Whatever he’s been talking about in training is certainly working and if he can continue his form, a really good individual season is surely on the horizon.
