Charlton Athletic fans are heaping praise on West Ham United loanee Josh Cullen after what has been described as a scintillating performance against Stoke City this weekend.
Cullen started at the Valley as Charlton dispatched Stoke 3-1 to continue their 100% start to the Championship season, and it sounds like the Hammers could’ve done with him against Manchester City.
Plenty of Addicks supporters took to Twitter after the game to applaud the young midfielder’s display:
Twitter: I think Josh Cullen’s performance yesterday was all round one of the best I’ve ever seen. He was ridiculous #cafc (@jonnijonesdj)
Twitter: @calcafc Cullen different class but permanent player then taylor or phillips is jokes (@CafcFin)
Twitter: Cullen was class today, was like he never left #cafc (@Benhughes_91)

Cullen hasn’t looked that convincing for West Ham over the past few pre-season campaigns but he seems to be right at home under Lee Bowyer at Charlton and it wouldn’t be surprising to ultimately join permanently.
It seems like the Championship could be the level where he belongs at the moment, or it certainly is if his performance at the weekend is anything to go by.
He’s now 23 and will be searching for a long-term home, and it would only make sense at this point to supply his trade in the Championship for one of the league’s most exciting sides in the opening stages.
