Former West Ham United striker Andy Carroll has begun talks with Newcastle United over a potential return to his boyhood club, and supporters have reacted hilariously online.
According to Jim White, Carroll is a target for Newcastle manager Steve Bruce and has held negotiations about a move to St. James’ Park following his Hammers release this summer.
Carroll scored 34 goals during his seven-year tenure at West Ham but could be lining up against Manuel Pellegrini’s side this season if the talks don’t come to an impasse.

The latter stages of the 30-year-old’s stay in East London was marred by injuries and Hammers fans have unsurprisingly been firing banter around about his chances of completing a medical for his new club.

Twitter: @ExWHUemployee Isn’t he still injured? Have they hired our old medical team to do the medical only way he passes it. (@mikoaks)
All jokes aside, it’d be great to see Carroll get back to his best in the top-flight because on his day, he can be way too hot to handle for most defences.
