West Ham United have confirmed the £8million signing of FC Basel and Switzerland striker Albian Ajeti, and the early birds amongst the club’s fan base are rightly celebrating.
The 22-year-old arrives at the London Stadium on a four-year deal, with the option of a further two years, after scoring 40 goals over the last two seasons for his boyhood club.
After completing his move to the Hammers and receiving his new no. 27 shirt, Ajeti expressed his delight to whufc.com:
I’m very excited to be here. It is a pleasure for me to be here, at this big club. Once I felt West Ham’s interest, I didn’t have to think twice about signing for such a big, traditional club in the Premier League. This is a big day for me and my family.
