After West Ham United confirmed the signing of Albian Ajeti this morning – the club’s sixth capture of the transfer window – fans are looking at who else could arrive at the London Stadium before this evening’s deadline.
However, according to the Daily Mail, there could be an exit on the cards in the form of Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez.
The £8million arrival of Ajeti has strengthened Manuel Pellegrini’s striking options and the Mexico international’s game time this season could be limited.
Chicharito has openly admitted that it could be time to leave West Ham this summer, and if an exit isn’t confirmed today, he’ll still have until the end of the month to secure a move abroad.

It’s understandable to think Chicha could be forced out of the club after Pellegrini has sanctioned the signings of two strikers this summer, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Sebastien Haller and, of course, Ajeti.
If he plans to continue using a sole striker system, the 31-year-old won’t be playing that much at all and he’ll be thinking to make use of one last big contract before he hangs up his boots.
I think the Hammers wouldn’t be right in letting him leave though. If Andriy Yarmolenko suffers another long-term injury, it’s a chance Ajeti gets pushed onto the right-wing which would leave the squad needing a back-up striker.
That’s if he’s not being lined up to start alongside Haller anyway… After the expiry of Andy Carroll’s contract and Marko Arnautovic’s move to China, West Ham are relatively slim on options upfront and Chicharito still offers plenty.
