# Fans bombard West Ham comments ahead of Ajeti arrival

West Ham United are soon expected to announce the signing of Basel striker Albian Ajeti, and excited supporters certainly aren’t letting anyone forget it in the club’s Twitter comments.

[Various UK outlets](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49264869) are now reporting an £8million deal for the 22-year-old Switzerland international is nearing completion; he will be the Hammers’ sixth signing of the summer.

Ajeti joins Frankfurt striker Sebastien Haller and Villareal attacking midfielder Pablo Fornals in providing exciting attacking back-up this season, and the trio are certainly filling fans with optimism and hope.

With just a matter of days to go until the 2019-20 season begins for West Ham as Manchester City visit the London Stadium, the club’s Twitter decided to post an image to hype fans yesterday afternoon.

They probably didn’t expect the mass response involving 95% of tweets including the word ‘Ajeti’…

It’s highly like Ajeti will be confirmed as a West Ham player before this evening’s 5pm transfer deadline, but that won’t stop fans eagerly awaiting an official announcement with him in the famous claret and blue shirt.

Roll on Saturday, where the Hammers’ other new striker Haller will be looking to get off the mark.
