# Brentford and QPR join chase to land Jordan Hugill

Championship sides Brentford and QPR have joined the race to land West Ham outcast Jordan Hugill this summer.

[According to Sky Sports,](https://www.skysports.com/app/transfer-centre) Brentford and QPR are just two of several clubs believed to be interested in signing the centre-forward in the coming weeks.

The report claims that Wigan had agreed a fee with West Ham, but the move eventually fell through – opening the door for other clubs to swoop in and snap up the former Preston man.

Hugill spent the 2018/19 season on loan to Championship side Middlesbrough, but was only able to score six goals for Tony Pulis’ team as they missed out on a top six finish.

The striker joined West Ham from Preston in January 2018 for a fee reported to be in the region of £10m, although he has only featured for the Hammers in the Premier League for a total of 35 minutes during his time at the club.
