# Haller likely to demand release clause in Hammers contract

Eintracht Frankfurt striker Sebastien Haller will only sign for West Ham United if his contract at the club includes a release clause.

According to a report from German outlet Kicker, as cited by [Inside Futbol](https://www.insidefutbol.com/2019/07/12/sebastien-haller-wants-release-clause-in-west-ham-contract/428516/), the forward remains unconvinced about the prospect of arriving at the London Stadium and will have specific conditions for the terms of any deal.

Haller enjoyed a fantastic season with Eintracht last season and linked up well with Luka Jovic, who completed a big-money move to Real Madrid earlier on in the summer transfer window.

The French forward has emerged as West Ham’s top striker target, and some [reports](https://readwestham.com/2019/07/12/west-ham-set-to-finalise-deal-for-haller-on-friday/) have even suggested that they will tie up a deal for the player on Friday with a €40 million offer on the table.

However, it seems there will be some details that must be ironed out before a move is completed, with Kicker adamant that Haller is reluctant to agree to join Manuel Pellegrini’s side until he receives assurances about a release clause.
