West Ham get their pre-season underway later this afternoon as they face Austrian side SCR Altach at the Stadion Schnabelholz.
Manuel Pellegrini will be looking at an improved season after a decent first campaign and after his side started slowly last year, he’ll hope that a good pre-season this time around will allow his players to hit the ground running.
So, we’re expecting two different West Ham sides for the game but we’ve taken a look at the team that we think will start the match.

RB: Ryan Fredericks
Ryan Fredericks had a mixed first season, he’ll hope to hit the ground running this campaign.
CB: Angelo Ogbonna
Italian Angelo Ogbonna has become a very good player and is a key member of the team

There has been some speculation about Issa Diop’s future but the Hammers will be keen to keep him at the club.
LB: Aaron Cresswell
Aaron Cresswell will be hoping to force his way back into the England set-up this season.
CM: Carlos Sanchez
Carlos Sanchez’s season was ruined by a serious injury. He’ll need a good pre-season to get up to speed.

Jack Wilshere is another who needs a good pre-season after suffering his own injury-hit campaign.
CM: Mark Noble
It’s another pre-season for the skipper as he starts yet another campaign at West Ham.
LW: Manuel Lanzini
Manuel Lanzini’s injury last summer meant he missed pre-season, he’ll be looking to have a full campaign where he stays fully healthy.
RW: Andriy Yarmolenko
Yet another player who picked up a major injury, Andriy Yarmolenko was in good form before he was hurt.
ST: Javier Hernandez
West Ham’s new number nine. Has a chance to be the main man this season.
