# Manchester United to make Diop offer in the coming days

Manchester United are reportedly preparing to make an offer to sign West Ham defender Issa Diop.

[According to L’Equipe](https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Article/Transferts-issa-diop-west-ham-plait-a-manchester-united/1035857), Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will look to step up their interest over the course of the coming days.

The report adds that Diop is not interested in forcing a move away from the London Stadium, in what is a major boost for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

There is an acceptance that the Hammers took a chance on the young Frenchman and Diop clearly remains keen to repay that trust to his current club.

The French defender is coming off the back of a brilliant first season in London after joining the Hammers from Toulouse.

Diop has been heavily [linked](https://readwestham.com/2019/06/16/manchester-united-eye-up-move-for-issa-diop/) with a move to Old Trafford, with the Red Devils eager to strengthen at the back.

Leicester City defender Harry Maguire is among the other names to be linked with a move.
