West Ham United claimed a 2-0 win over Newcastle United on Saturday evening, moving them up to ninth in the Premier League.
Declan Rice opened the scoring for the hosts after just seven minutes when he met Robert Snodgrass’ pinpoint corner.
Mark Noble doubled the Hammers’ lead shortly before half-time, exquisitely putting away a penalty after Javier Hernandez was fouled in the box.
Chances were few and far between in the second half, with the visitors going close late on when Salomon Rondon struck the post.
The win sees Manuel Pellegrini’s side stretch their unbeaten run at the London Stadium to six games in all competitions, with their last defeat at home coming against Watford shortly before Christmas.
