# Andy Carroll won’t leave West Ham in January according to Pellegrini

Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that Andy Carroll is not set to leave West Ham in this transfer window.

Carroll had been linked with a surprise switch to rivals Spurs, who have been going through an injury crisis up front.

Harry Kane was recently ruled out until March, leaving Spurs with only Fernando Llorente up front.

However, speaking ahead of West Ham’s FA Cup clash with AFC Wimbledon on Saturday, Pellegrini confirmed that it was unlikely that Carroll will be moving to Tottenham this window.

The Chilean boss said, via [Football.London](https://www.football.london/west-ham-united-fc/fixtures-results/marko-arnautovic-west-ham-transfer-15726593):

> They are rumours.

> There is a lot of different rumours for different players, I don’t think that Andy Carroll will leave the club until the end of the season if he continues here.

West Ham recently have had issues up front, with the future of Austrian star Marko Arnautovic a big doubt.

The striker is wanted by clubs in the Chinese Super League, and West Ham are reluctant to let him go.

However, the promise of a big wage has made Arnautovic unsettled at West Ham, with the striker being left out last weekend.
