# Manuel Pellegrini makes exciting claim about Felipe Anderson

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini believes that Felipe Anderson hasn’t adapted to the Premier League yet, despite scoring five times in his last six appearances, [HITC](https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2018/12/09/west-ham-boss-manuel-pellegrini-makes-exciting-claim-about-felip/) report.

The 25-year-old, who joined the Hammers in the summer from Lazio in a club record fee which could rise to £41.5 million, struggled at the London Stadium in the opening months of the season.

However, the Brazilian wide man found the back of the net once again against Crystal Palace with a wonderful strike, continuing his purple patch in front of goal as the Hammers recorded their third successive Premier League win.

Anderson has now struck six times under Pellegrini this season, with his all round displays coming in for plenty of praise from fans and pundits in recent months.

However, boss Pellegrini believes that the former Lazio man still hasn’t fully adapted to English football and is expecting more to come from the forward for the rest of the season.

> It’s always difficult when you have to make so many changes in the way you play, when you bring in new players to start playing the way we wanted them to.

> To do that, you need good players. I think Felipe is, as I said last week, still needs time to get used to the Premier League but in every game he has demonstrated he is a top player.

And with West Ham five points off seventh placed Manchester United, Anderson looks set to play a key role in the Hammers’ push for a top eight finish.
