# West Ham target Barbosa ‘likely’ to make Premier League switch

West Ham target Gabriel Barbosa, or Gabigol for short, is ‘likely’ to move to the Premier League in January, according to reports.

[Fox Sports explain](https://www.foxsports.com.br/news/386944-santos-tem-plano-por-gabigol-e-diz-que-so-flamengo-e-palmeiras-podem-compra-lo-no-brasil) that a move to England is now considered a likely option for the forward, with the Hammers and also Everton credited with an interest.

After impressing for Santos, Gabriel Barbosa has been heavily linked with a return to Europe as Inter look to cash in on the player.

It remains to be seen whether either Premier League side can land the player on a permanent basis or on a loan until the end of the season.

Barbosa was unable to impress during his short stint with Inter and they now want to raise the player’s asking price as much as possible.

With Marco Silva keen to add another option to his front line, Everton will provide the toughest competition for West Ham in January.

Both sides have been lacking in front of goal this season and could look to change that in January.
