# Felipe Anderson makes bold personal prediction for the current campaign

West Ham star Felipe Anderson has revealed that he believes the current campaign under Manuel Pellegrini could be his best season as a player, [football.london](https://www.football.london/west-ham-united-fc/players/felipe-anderson-west-ham-news-15456149) report.

The 25-year-old has impressed in recent weeks for the Hammers, finding the back of the net twice in the 4-2 victory over Burnley, before firing in the equaliser away at Huddersfield Town prior to the international break.

The former Lazio man signed for a club-record £36 million fee in the summer, but struggled to nail down a regular starting spot at the London Stadium under Pellegrini in the opening weeks of the season.

However, after impressing the Hammers’ faithful in November, the Brazilian, talking in the club’s matchday programme ahead of the game with Manchester City, revealed this season could be his best individual campaign, if he can keep consistently performing.

> It was very important for me to know the manager trusts me and believes in me and that I can be the player he wants me to be.

> He gives me peace on the pitch when things aren’t going well and it gives me strength to keep working even when games aren’t going well for me personally.

> I believe and I work on what I know what I can do so that this can be my best season as a player.

Anderson looks set to start for the Hammers against Pep Guardiola’s side and may well prove to be the key man in the Hammers’ push for a top eight finish.
