# Crystal Palace consider making fresh approach for Antonio

Crystal Palace are considering making a move for West Ham United forward Michail Antonio in the January transfer window, according to a report on the [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-crystal-palace-make-new-move-for-west-ham-player/).

The Eagles were interested in taking the Englishman to Selhurst Park before the season started, but could not manage to convince the Hammers to let him leave.

Antonio has only started four league matches under Manuel Pellegrini this season and could be tempted to leave if Palace can promise him more starting opportunities.

Roy Hodgson’s side are desperately in need of some new attacking players and the manager is said to be a big fan of Antonio, especially because of his versatility.

With Andriy Yarmolenko sidelined for several months, Antonio would have thought that he would get a run of starts but he finds himself behind youngster Grady Diangana.

Palace heavily rely on Wilfried Zaha to provide the goals and Hodgson knows that if his side are to avoid relegation, then they need more players who can score.
