# Evra training with West Ham as he ponders next move

Former West Ham and Manchester United defender Patrice Evra is back training with the Hammers as he ponders his next move.

According to a report from [Football.london](https://www.football.london/west-ham-united-fc/news/patrice-evra-trains-west-ham-15273007), the Frenchman has joined up with the rest of the Hammers squad as he looks to maintain fitness levels.

However, a deal to re-sign Evra is not believed to be imminent, with the former Manchester United man still on the lookout for a new club.

Evra was released by West Ham at the end of last season after a short spell with the club, making five appearances during David Moyes’ time in charge.

The report claims that Evra did feature in a training ground match against Queens Park Rangers and hopes that he could prove his fitness in order to earn a deal elsewhere.

Evra remains keen to play, despite suggestions he could hang up his boots once and for all.
