# Arnautovic pleased with his goalscoring form this season

West Ham United forward Marko Arnautovic has revealed that he is happy with his goalscoring form so far this season for club and country, according to a report on the official club [website](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2018/october/15-october/arnautovic-delighted-goalscoring-form).

The striker managed to find the back of the net for Austria in their 1-0 UEFA Nations League victory over Northern Ireland.

The forward has netted four times in the Premier League this season and is quickly becoming one of the most feared strikers in the top flight.

When speaking about his goal for Austria, Arnautovic said:

> I was happy to score the goal, and I was happy for the team because we worked very hard for it.

> That’s what the coach expects and what every player expects from one another – that you just give everything in the game, and we did that against Northern Ireland.

> It was not easy, because of course there was pressure from the outside. Everybody expects us to win, but after all, we won and that is the decisive factor.

The striker revealed last week that he has been suffering from a knee injury for some time but has been playing through the pain, which caused concern to West Ham management and fans.

Many were calling for Arnautovic to withdraw from the Austria squad to allow himself time to recover, but he has insisted that he can continue to play.
