West Ham suffered a late defeat to Wolves at the Olympic Stadium, in a game lacking in quality.
The Hammers looked poor from the start, and never really got going against the Championship title winners last season.
Wolves snatched the winning goal late on through substitute Adama Traore, who hit a driven shot past Lukasz Fabianski to hand the Black Country side their first league win on their return to the the top flight.
Here’s how we rated West Ham’s performances today.
Lukasz Fabianski - 7
Will be dissapointed to let the late goal in after an impressive start to the game. Made some key stops to deny Wolves before Traore’s winner.
Ryan Fredericks - 5
Some sloppy defending after halftime, and didn’t look all that convincing.
Fabian Balbuena - 6
Decent performance defensively. However, his passing is poor and needs to improve.
Issa Diop - 7
Best player in the first half, and made some vital interceptions and challenges throughout the game.
Aaron Cresswell - 5
Allowed Traore to score the winner and was poor going forward.
Carlos Sanchez - 4
Not a good day at the office for the Colombian. Was outclassed by the Wolves attack and made a horrible error in the lead up to the winner.
Jack Wilshere - 6
Subbed in the second half but did start well.
Robert Snodgrass - 6
Only lasted 45 minutes, but ran his heart out in his short time on the pitch.
Felipe Anderson - 5
Quiet afternoon for the Brazilian, who really disappointed. Not much joy on either flank.
Marko Arnautovic - 6
Had a chance denied by Rui Patricio’s face, but lacked support. Kept on running regardless.
Michail Antonio - 5
Little impact and should’ve done better with a few forward moves.
Andriy Yarmolenko – 5
Pedro Obiang – 5
Javier Hernandez – 5
