West Ham are considering loan offers from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar and Spanish club Eibar for young defender Reece Oxford, the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6097865/West-Ham-considering-offers-AZ-Alkmaar-Eibar-Reece-Oxford.html) report.

According to the Mail, both offers on the table are only a half-season loan, but both would be open to the idea of extending Oxford’s stay at the club until the end of the season, with a view to signing the player permanently next summer for around £2 million.

Oxford, who impressed last season on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga, recently portrayed his commitment to the Hammers, with the 19-year-old agreeing to take a pain killing injection in order to feature for the club’s under-23 side on Friday night.

The teenager captained the side and scored at the London Stadium, however, the Hammers fell to a 3-2 defeat to Arsenal’s under-23 side.

New boss Manuel Pellegrini is happy to allow Oxford to leave on loan, with his last senior appearance for West Ham coming back in January in the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.
