# Reece Oxford determined to prove his worth at West Ham

Reece Oxford is determined to stay at West Ham for the foreseeable future and prove his worth, according to claims from [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11685/11476933/reece-oxford-commits-future-to-west-ham).

Speculation had been mounting regarding Oxford’s long-term future at the London Stadium but fresh reports have since indicated that the youngster is looking to make his mark on proceedings with the Hammers.

Oxford recently enjoyed a loan spell with Borussia Monchengladbach but appeared to fall out of favour at West Ham, with first-team opportunities proving to be hard to come by.

Nevertheless, this does not appear to have deterred Oxford, who remains adamant that his future lies with the club who first afforded him the opportunity to impress in the Premier League.

A number of clubs across Europe had been linked with respective moves for Oxford but, according to Sky Sports, he is looking to knuckle down and prove to Manuel Pellegrini that he can be a valuable player for the season ahead.
